I personally use George LaGrange - have known him for close to 20 yrs and have done business with him for almost the entire time; one of my daughters uses him and I have referred him on many occasions. He works with many different carriers and knows how to shop!

Hey this is DSP, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post so hello everyone.

Luke Zing, I've been working as a consultant in the insurance industry for over ten years specializing in putting together structural damage estimates as they directly relate to insurance claims. For example the claims I write for are fire, water damage, hurricane, flood, collapse, lighting, mold, vehicle damage, malicious mischief/vandalism, ect... However, I do not represent the Insurance companies, I represent the homeowners directly. I could give you information on which insurance companies payout fairly with the most bang for your buck and which companies seem cheap but will really try to make your life impossible when you have an insurance claim.

Unfortunately I can't help you with a broker or agency, as that does not tie in directly to my portion of the industry, but I can definitely give you some good info as to which insurance companies are the best, based on what your criteria are. PM me if your interested.

DSP

I work for an agency in Syosset. We have about 15 different insurance carriers that we write with. We are able to write on the water, underground oil tanks etc... Let me know if you need some help obtaining insurance.

I used to be with Liberty Mutual. My rate sky-rocketed, well a 700 dollar jump is big to me. I shopped around and ended up with state farm. Same coverage and I saved bigtime

Statefarm is much cheaper in regards to there premiums and they are much better when it comes to paying out on claims. Liberty Mutual is not one of the worst but its definitely not the best either. Statefarm is by far the best bang for your buck for the average home. It is what I have on my own home.

Last year after 29 years with Lib Mutual I decided to shop and went to Allstate,State Farm,Progressive,Geico and Travelers. SF was the cheapest and easiest to work with. They all seem to issue 6 month policies which I am not thrilled over but it is what it is.
