Can anyone suggest good year-round swimming lessons for small children in the Manhasset area? There seems to be a dearth of indoor pools in the area. Thanks.

I'll 2nd Saftswim. They are a bit expensive but worth it. Don't do it in the summer months like I did, save it for the winter.

+1 for saf-t-swim ... my son went to the one in commack... he went from being deathly afraid of the water to making sure any hotel we go to on vacation has a pool...

also, everytime you say "saf-t-swim", you'll think of their radio commercial and not be able to get that jingle out of your head for a good 2 to 3 hours

According to the Census Bureau's online address search function, located at 570 Main Street, the "Westbury" Saf-T-Swim is in the Hamlet of New Cassel ("Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address) in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County; and, New Cassel is considered, to use your expression, to be a very "dodgy area".
