Default Is Williston park in flood zone?

I heard some parts of LI have floods. Does that include Wiliston park and new hyde park?
Is there a website what I can type in the address and search? any other hazards/natural disasters? How much is the normal price for hazard insurance premium?(not sure if this is the same as homeowner's insurance). Is there a reputable and reliable insurance company in LI?
Thanks!

Both of those places are just about as middle-of-the-island as you can get....nowhere near water or flood zones.

My uncle that lives in Mineola had a flooding problem, there are a lot more issues in flooding then just living by the water

You do not need to live right by the water to be in a standard flood zone. You can be in the middle of nowhere and subject to flood, you really need a flood zone determination ran for you.

You can type in your address here...

FEMA Map Service Center -

and you'll be able to see your flood designation. Be sire to zoom in...the maps are a little tough to read.
