Asians have also overcome tremendous discrimination, langauge barriers and clearly discernable physical features that distingiush them from others and they continue to succeed. I wish every other ethnic "minority" group could do that and stop blaming world history for their problems and making excuses for failures. You are welcome as my neighbor any day.

Amen to that....now that we have this out of the way, lets all sit around the campfire and sing "kumbaya my lord, kumbayaaaaa".

Thank you Glen for Keeping it real. I dont know why I find that the subject of race is so prevalent here in the northeast.

Actually I do see how this fits into the thread. The OP asked (an Asian person) asked if their child will fit in at school. So a white person asked if an adopted asian child would feel welcome as well. So yes, it does fit in to the thread even more so than your posts on this thread about Queens and the Asians

Actually a lot of Asian people are just racist in general, and this has little to nothing to do with white people. This even holds in countries that were not colonized during the 19th century, like China.

Of course it differs between different countries over there, so it is hard to make broad statements. So for example the Chinese generally have a thing against black people and this idea is prevalent throughout the whole country. The same cannot be said in Japan, where there isn't as much prejudice against black folks.

What do most Asians (the recent new ones) have against trees, green space, Americans and there culture ? Every one I have tried to ask (spoken in broken English Quote) "undevoloped space is wasted space" "Trees, I cut and pay the fine in cash my back pocket GET LOST"

This picture tells it all

Front Page News Story http://www.nydailynews.com/boroughs/...r_grudge_.html
Rev. Kim looks much like a smiling lunatic murderer.....standing in the midst of his corpse strewn LANDMARKED property grinning like David Berkowitz (the "44 Caliber Killler") shortly after his capture!

Good grief! I can't believe that posters are using such phrases as "most Asians" or "a lot of Asians" etc. We were talking about stereotypes in another thread and how bigoted that tendency is. Yes, you may not be saying "ALL" but still stereotyping to some extent.

I've been posting in so many of these threads now that I can't remember what I've said and in what thread I've said it.

So, let me cover two points and then I'll let the flames begin.

One: My belief is that to stereotype is inherently bigoted. Why? Because there are always large numbers in that group who don't necessarily fall into that sterotypical image. Isn't it unfair to those individuals to be categorizing everyone in that group as having the same traits or tendencies?

It's ludicrous to say the "all Asians" do this or that or "all Blacks behave this way or that way" or "all gay people" act this way or that way, etc. etc. etc. To take this stance is IMHO, narrow minded and bigoted.

Two: One thing a lot of you aren't distinguishing between are recent immigrants and those Asians who have not only been born in this country but have roots in the U.S. for several generations. This pertains to a HUGE group of the specific ethnicities of Chinese, Japanese, Phillipino, and perhaps many more Asian ethnicities that have been established in this country for 4, 5, 6 or perhaps even more generations back.

Again, I cite a close friend who is of Japanese descent who was born here, never been to Japan, is totally Americanized culturally, doesn't speak with an accent, doesn't know hardly a word of Japanese, and is of fourth generation in this country. If it wasn't for his physical features, he'd be just like the Caucasian joe blow you'd pick out on the street ...or would rather have as a neighbor. In other words, this guy would be just as good a neighbor as your preferred Caucasian guy you'd rather be living next door to you.

Like I say, there are huge numbers of these types of Asians living in this country. They didn't all just immigrate here recently.

However, many of you aren't distinguishing between these two groups, as if there has to be any distinguishing between the two to begin with.

You can't because, again, you're going to come back and say "well, they all look alike to me."

C'mon, take some time to educate yourselves. Thing is a lot of you don't even know I'm talking about YOU.

Ok, *puts on flame-retardant suit again* ...let the rebuttals begin. I know I'm going to be attacked on this one so I might as well at least try to fend off a few of the flames.

Thanks.

What I don't understand is the fact that thousands of "white" or "Caucasian" people do just as ridiculous things as the fellow mentioned in the article... so why highlight him, JUST because he happens to be Asian? I bet it would be easy to find examples of white Americans committing the same kind of silly act... not to mention much more atrocious things. A minor crime committed by someone who isn't "white" in appearance is blown way out of proportion, yet no one ever draws attention to a Caucasian doing the exact same thing.

Just today I saw a very "average joe" white guy just about mow down a mother and her kids in the road. So based on the ideas espoused by many of the rabid "anti-foreigners in the USA" posters, I guess I should assume that every white person would do the same thing? Or the unkempt and gross-looking home down the street that sticks out like a sore thumb... hmm, thirtiesh looking white guy is the only person I've seen living there... all thirtiesh white guys MUST live in the same disgusting manner... right? I've seen several of them living this way... so they ALL must be THE SAME!!!! EVERY SINGLE ONE!

Ludicrous.

Fact 2: This Group owns the most amount of propertys claimed as prayer houses, churches and private ministrys to beat property tax yet use public services.
NO OTHER GROUP COMES CLOSE !!

MORE HOMES DESTROYED THEN ROBERT MOSSES BULLDOZED DOWN IN HIS CAREER....this is fact not racism. Dont read the posts if your going to get upset

Again the OC asked if he and his kid would be welcome. The answer is....well that depends what his true intent was. Notice how he said "we are not religious" ...why did he disclose that ??

Great for the blacks then, 1.3 billion people on the planet generally do not care for them, lets bring em here to America to help put those coloreds in their place. I am always contacting black politicians about this, although they seem to support immigration with these people. Hopefully when blacks see the truth they will turn against mass immigration and fracture the democratic party, mass immigration will then end. Fingers crossed.

Could you please provide the historical evidence for your statement or any article, journal with relevant research to give any basis for your theory. Based on what you said, you have only provided purely anectodal evidence, which Ronald Regan was famous for. He based his whole welfare policy on anectodal evidence and that's how he sold it to the public. And that was a great program, right?

I read all your posts. i'm going to be the one to say it.....you sound dumb.

Fact: White people have killed hundreds of thousands of people in masses like no other race. ex: germans killing off all jews; more recent example: american slavery that helped build this country you see today.

so i guess every other race should hate all white people and whatever they stand for.

how can you blame "asian people" as a whole for this? are you including indians? filipinos? cambodians? who exactly are you including in "asian"?

let me guess, all your friends are white and wear white sheets over their heads.

you show one picture of some chinese guy with a smile on his face and you feel that you've made a point. you put any white contractor in kim's (the man in the pic) shoes and have him make the same amount of money from the deal as kim is, your white contractor would have the same smile kim has. thats a business man closing the deal in the picture, but all you see is an asian destroying trees.

change is inevitable. nyc is growing. there are more and more families looking for a place to live. not everyone is as fortunate to live in manhasset as you are. from a business view, what the asians are doing makes sense. they are preparing the area to support more people. whats wrong with that? if you don't like the fedder a/c's, don't look at them.

ps. just in case you missed it the first time - you sound dumb
