I said earlier "I must know at least 10 guys who fit this description, therefore that must mean they ALL do ... hey, thanks for the insight!!"
Please let me correct myself... sorry, MOST thirtiesh white men are disgusting, don't keep house, and don't wash. Not ALL, but MOST. That pretty much means that when I meet a guy fitting this description, I'm more likely than not going to put him in the "bad" group anyway until I know better, because he's unlikely to be the exception to the "most" rule.
see, this still doesn't work... "most" means "all" with a loophole.

This is just nonsense. Welcome to liberal-ville, hold on to your hats, leave logic at the door.

So you truly believe that you're thinking logically?
Funny thing is that I'm actually quite conservative ...don't consider myself a liberal at all.
But being conservative, I don't consider myself a bigot.
Or does being conservative and being a bigot have to go and in hand? I really don't think so.
Anyway, I'm drifting off-topic here. As I said in the other thread, I don't know how I got tangled up in this discussion. I don't intend to ever live in New York so why should I even be trying to gleam any sense of logic from these discussions.
I'll leave you folks be with your sound logic.
Thanks.

I know Garden City is NOT Queens. Thats why i put "garden city area" in quotations. I don't know the areas in queens that resemble Garden City so I just called them the "garden city areas". I was saying that certain parts of queens will not turn out like the areas that we are discussing.
Since you brought it up, I do know very well about long island taxes. I bought my first house in valley stream at the age of 21. I'm 25 now. I might not be as old as you guys so my thoughts might be different. My taxes on my 40x100 property is about $7500, which raises my mortgage payments around $650. My house is on the border of queens and nassau, if I walk across the street, the taxes for the same house are in the range of $2400. So I know what you are saying about taxes.
I've lived in Elmont, Valley Stream, Franklin Square, currently Lynbrook, so I know a few things about Nassau County.
I have asian friends that live in Garden City Park, and I know one or two people in Garden City (which doesn't make me an expert). We have never had problems with straight out racism.

the taxes in long island are going to separate the people that can afford to stay and those who can't. If everyone in the neighborhood pays high taxes, I believe there is a mutual understanding to take care of the neighborhood. No one wants to pay all that money to live in an area that isn't beautiful and taken care of.

Sorry Movin gotta agree with Joe..been doing business throughout queens and LI for 27 years..you need to take some time and see what's going on.
I started in Flushing enter brick bombshells, went to Fresh Meadows where they took the trees, headed out to Little Neck and got surrounded by a million signs not one written in english, proceeded to Great Neck..I think Joe has made it clear on what goes on in that town..and now I am currently in New Hyde Park 1 of of the only white families left on the block, trying to figure out how many more families can they fit into 1 house? That's alright though at least I get to pay high taxes and still get to sit in traffic for hours on Lakeville Rd.

i was in manhasset today, the traffic on lakeville rd was unbelievable.
27 years, you've been around here before i was thought of.
my views are from a young realtor's point of view. to me, queens is becoming a mini manhattan. bigger multiuse buildings, traffic everywhere, many different cultures. Joe L seems upset because "asian people have knocked down trees to build houses". all i'm saying is that asian people as a whole aren't responsible for the actions of a few asians (in comparison to the whole) who want to build these huge houses. and he seems mad that LIJ is hiring all these mid eastern people. I think they hire whoever is qualified for the positions, it just so happens that they're mid eastern or indian or whatever.
