The stop and shop shopping center isn't so bad, although I admit I haven't been there after 11...
I prefer king kullen to both of them because its closer. I am pretty far from Montauk hwy and pretty far from the train station, I live near the William Floyd estates, closer to the water. I love riding my bike through there.

Well, I have to agree with you. That is a nicer and very quiet area.. Never had issues with fares in that area.

Our community is alot of "GOOD PEOPLE" There has got to be a "REAL IDIOT" who calls use a "SLUM" it probably came from some who does live in a slum! People that talk "BAD" LIKE THAT about somewhere that they don't know anything about is to make themselves feel better for the Moderator cut: language removed "THEY" live in !

With that kind of mind blowing logic, how can I argue? Going by the grammatical syntax of the above, I see you graduated with honors from WF high school.

Mastic is not a slum but - it is NOT what the average person would call a nice area relative to the surrounding area...not a chance.

Why are you convinced that I am unfamiliar with your area?...I am likely more familiar with it than you are. Most people commenting on Shirley/Mastic seem to be familiar with it and are anything but fond of it. Don't take my word for it - look at the "Similar Threads" below and you will see more people echoing negative experiences of the town than the positive ones. Please...feel free to tell the majority of posters in those threads that they are nuts because they don't share your seriously warped view of the town you live in.

i lived in mastic..... reason why i don't lose fights anymore lololol. but for real its only gotten worse i mean they are trying to improve the area with an applebees but cmon. i remember as freshmen kids smoking newports and the best heros were tj heros by william floyd. chicken supreme with american cheese... yummm. i lived on coventry like 2 blocks from the indian reservation and i remember at nights hearing some street races and cops lol. at the time i just thought it was normal to get into alot of fights and see that stuff. i live in close to charlotte now and im amazed how things are someplace else. i mean mastic and mastic beach had awesome spots of interest the amazing beach and stuff. but i think with all the welfare relocations.*cough* my neighbors* it made things bad
