Great ending to a great Mets season.
I'm with you here .. love the Mets, hate the Phillies, but loathe the Yankees more than I love the Mets.
Yankees are like the Harlem Globetrotters .. too loaded.

I was fortunate to be at game 6 and the atmosphere was incredible. The Yanks were loose and made it look easy. No disrespect to the Phillies, they did win the NL title but lets be real here. The Yanks are going to knock them down this year. Quote me.

In reference to who the Mets fans will go for I hope it's the home team. As a military guy I learned to go for all the New York teams. Of course I have priorities and it may eventually come down to direct competition but I would like to see them all successful to a degree.

Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for Exxon against sea otters.

They have no business NOT winning by spending a whole teams worth more on payroll than the next team in line. If they didn't win the WS, the season should be viewed as a complete failure. Let's see, the Yankees bought the 3 most expensive players in baseball after already having the highest payroll. Their infield costs more than most teams entire payrolls. What an accomplishment. Please, if I have to hear anyone saying that they overcame adversity (and you will with A-Rod, roids, and his post season choking in the past).........

So, in light of all that, even though the Phillies are rivals, I respect them way more than the Yankees and their bloated buy every player up mentality. They've finally gotten to the WS after 5 years of that formula failing, because for once 2 of the players are actually worth it!!

I'd take Rollins, Howard, and Victorino straight up for Reyes, Delgado and Beltran in a hearbeat, that's for sure.
