Airplane Part Falls on Nassau Home’s Front Lawn | Long Island Press | News, Long Island, Local News, Breaking News

I guess it was a matter of time, with all the commercial flights routed over the Island. We already know about the pollution and noise. Now we can get debris falling as well.

I'm sure this will get buried since it happened in Roosevelt though.

Roosevelt isn't overly close to any of the airports though.

I am just baffled how not one of the crew members or pilots knew that this part had fallen off.

This is what happens with so many overflights in Nassau. But it seems the FAA could care less about our safety.

Better then a person falling out of the landing gear bay. Flights from Africa have dropped bodies on the Roackaways.

Who says a body of someone moronic enough to ride in the landing gear can't fall out anywhere on LI they fly over? I am surprised that body didn't fall out way before the Rockaways considering how far it was coming from.
