This is absolutely about money. The Liberty plates were in use from roughly 1985 to 2000, 15 years. The empire plates have only been around for less than 10 years!

And this is the reason they trot out to justify it? SAFETY!!??? I want a study done on how many people have been killed or injured due to the fact someone could't see someones plate number. I think Paterson is deaf as well as blind because if he had actually heard that reason I think he'd say "hell that doesn't even make sense to me".

It's only $10, people. Really isn't worth making a stink over.

Changing plates is good for getting illegal vehicles off the road.
$10 well spent. If you have a problem with it take it up with the folks driving around with no registration and insurance.

What do you mean by that? They are going to give tickets about the registration stickers that NEVER stick because they were designed and/or manufactured improperly in the first place?
I noticed that the registration stickers NEVER stick properly and I have to keep them in place with tape or they will curl up. No matter how clean and dry the area is when I place them. When I clean off an old registration sticker, I get ALL of the previous gunk off with a razor ... extra tape, old pieces of the sticker, failed gum from the sticker ... all of it. I clean it with window cleaner. I let the area dry thoroughly. I attach them perfectly according to their instructions and they still won't stick.
It's their design or manufacturing flaw, not our fault.
If they are charging more now, they better get the registration stickers right this time.

Mine fell off too. All the edges peeled back first.
First time thought it was my fault because maybe the window wasn't clean enough, so I cleaned the hell out of the window and it still peeled up. Whatever.
10 bucks is 10 bucks.
If it aint a big deal, then I politely request everyone on this board to send me 10 bucks. Do it now. Cash or check made out to cash.Thank you.

All they have to do is steal some new plates.
