I did see somewhere that it was dec. 9, but yea, annoying I can't find anything current on the net.

I used to work in the building until recently. I spoke to one of my co-workers and its Wed. Dec. 9th @ 5pm. Its not posted any where on the web or even Newsday. The traffic and parking situation will be hectic since most people will still be parked and will be leaving work at that time if they don't stay to watch.

I love how that little blurb about the Dec 9th lighting says "No entertainment". Didn't it used to be a big production? =[

I remember outside was a skating rink and inside were small exhibits. Is any of that there anymore? Something to do with the kids for an hour or two?

There was an article in Newsday, December 1, p. 14, "LI's big tree lighting ceremony won't go on". They said "that it is far more important to redirect those energies and funds into additional holiday-related charitable efforts here on Long Island...".
