Local Events (Nassau: things to do, best, island)

Hi,

Wondering what's the best website or source to find out about local events and activities in Nassau County. I've tried using Newsday but find that its rather hit or miss. We have some friends coming to stay with us, and we like to be able to find out about holiday events, festivals, museum exhibits, etc. so that we can have things to do while they are here that don't always involve going into NYC.

Anyone have a better source for info than Newsday?
