Default Thinking about moving to Long Island
Does anyone know any websites or phone #'s to call for renting a house on Long Island? We will be moving there from Indiana next month and its so hard to find a lot of rentals from the big websites(rent.com, etc.), especially if your looking to rent a single family home. My husbands job will be in Medford and we are looking all around that area for home rentals, he is willing to drive a little to find what we are looking for. Any advice?

www.craigslist.com has a lot of apartments up. Go to the NY state board, then choose Long Island.

I agree with Craigs list. The prices here are quite steep these days, but I guess it depends on your perspective. A friend of mine just rented a nice one bedroom basement apartment that includes everything for 850 and that is a good deal here.

(edited to add: and that is in medford)
