Just wondering if folks are going away for the holiday break (week between Christmas and New Years) or staying put. Would you normally go away and has the economy curtailed your travel plans? Are you planning day-cations over the break? Maybe you don't even have time off that week....just wondering.....

I'm staying put. I would have gone away to my Dad's in NJ but I volunteer on Friday nights at a dog shelter and since Christmas is on a Friday, I will be volunteering on a Friday. Luckily, I have an aunt who invited me for dinner who lives in the area where I volunteer so I am going to her house for dinner. I might have also gone to my mom's in FL, but I am going to surprise her in a few weeks with a visit and decided not to deal with the holiday travelers.
What are you doing?

Weather permitting, we will be driving our antique cars into Rockefeller Center the Sunday after Christmas with other brave members of the Model A Ford Club of LI.

Last year we made it onto the news:
Antique Car Lovers, Eat Your Hearts Out! | NBC New York

One of our vehicles is in the photo gallery linked onto the page. Neither one of us is.

I might head up north during the following week.
