It's a shame that teams like Indy and Cincy laid down for the Jets the last two weeks. One, it gave the Jets a false sense of hope. Two, it kept my Steelers out of the playoffs and they could have done more damage than the Jets will. Then again, we have ourselves to blame more than anything.
Cincy showed the Jets NOTHING last week. They will throw the kitchen sink at Sanchez. They are going to crowd the line of scrimmage and stack up against the run. They'll force Sanchez into 3rd and Longs and it won't be pretty for him.
I think Cincy will go through even though I'm pulling for the Jets.
Nice job Nostradamus, how about a hot cup of shut the hell up.
Some of the worst calls I've seen all year in one game... pass interference?! good lord - The only difference in that game from the last one was those horrible calls and Benson, who is a really good back.
NE finding a way to lose and avoiding Peyton Manning next week is huge. Should be another very entertaining game.
I was wrong. I thought Cincy's stacked line would stop the Jets run and it didn't. Almost all of Sanchez's throws were on play action. They really kept it simple for him...very few throws...very few reads. That was smart. That won't take the Jets to the SB, but it was enough to get by a soft Cincy team.
The goat of the game really was Palmer. He was horrible. His balls kept sailing and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn at times.
This Jet's team reminds me a lot of the Steelers a few years back. Tough nasty D and strong run game. Whether or not that win a ring will be up to Sanchez.
I think the Jets match up fairly well with the Chargers. The Charger D can be quite soft against the run at times. We'll have to see.
The Charger O though is head and shoulders above Cincy. So many weapons and a tough QB who doesn't shrink during pressure games the way Palmer seems to.
Cross country trip plus the Charger O should give the win to SD.
Line varies from 7.5 to 9 right now... If I ever would bet on the Jets (which wouldn't ever happen lol), this might be the game getting all those points. heh
Rivers is very good, but he's not Peyton Manning. Their vertical passing game shouldn't come into play that often as I'm guessing they'll be smart enough to limit those long step drops against the Jets. If they don't, I'm fairly sure that the Jets would welcome them to try the long passes. Going to be a great test for the secondary and pass rush.
