She needs our sympathies and our help. The woman is not a criminal. May God help her to overcome her grief and struggles in life.

Already, she has abused her children. She has killed animals. Would you like to wait until she kills one of her kids?
Her children should be taken away from her, and she should rot in jail for a dog's lifetime.
In the USA, as opposed to countries like France, where children are first French citizens and given custody of to their birth parents at the will of the government, kids are only "property" of their parents, so that should be okay to him.

I agree that we need to stay on-topic.

This woman is sick but I hope she has adequate counsel. She needs a good lawyer to convince a potentially emotional jury that she is not guilty by reason of insanity.

I think a good attorney will be able to get her free from incarceration and get her the help she needs.

I think she'll do time. She was proven fit for trial. That's usually(not always) a sign of the outcome. And, Johhny Cochran is dead.

Let me get this straight. If this women locked you in a room for 4 years, didn't let you shower, made you go in a pail, hung dying cats over your bed and repeatedly made you watch while she tortured animals. That after 4 years you would tell the DA that you didn't want her charged with anything, just let her go and hopefully she will seek help. I really think you are just trying to be funny.

I never said to "let her go". She is mentally ill and needs help. Prison is not the place for this woman.

I must tell you when I first read your reply earlier, after mine, it bothered me that you saw pets as "property". Animals are living breathing and have feelings. Some people even look at them as their children. I'd hate to be a pet and have you as my owner if this is how you look at your pet...property. I didn't want to say anything earlier as I tried to keep it to myself but this really bothered me.

And yes, the woman is mentally ill....but sometimes there is no help for people out there. it's not like she's just depressed...she has some major issues. It's kind of like a person who sexually abuses children...they do time and then they are let out...oh, and what happens....hmm, they repeat the offense all over again! There is no help for these people! They are going to repeat the offense again b/c they just cannot help themselves...they are not just chemically unbalanced but they have more than that! This woman who abused and tortured animals had the same issues...she could not help herself and getting any kind of psychiatric help and medication is not going to keep her from doing it again! She deserves to go to prison. I strongly believe this. I believe that in the end, when her time comes, she will get what she deserves...not by us but by what God chooses to do. After all, God has created all of us...including humans, animals, etc.

Animal abuse is just so heartless and cruel. People shouldn't make excuses for it.
