Please try to stick to the original topic, guys.
Thanks.

Dman's silience is deafening - he'd rather call us wanna-be tough guys instead of trying war criminals in the appropriate venue because Keith Olberman told him it's the right thing to do

Tell me why even bother trying war criminals? It'd be easier to take a 10 cent piece of lead and get rid of them.

Eighteen years? Going by another thread on this board, it seems the norm on Long Island is closer to 30.

So, what's the one thing the President can do that will have a positive and lasting impact on Long Island?

Mandate birth control until the age of 27 for females, 30 for males. That would help the entire nation.

Zacarias Moussaoui ring any bells?? I didn't see any complaints from the right on where he was tried.....

As far as the original question. The small business investment he spoke about last night will help put people back to work, and we need the healthcare overhaul. So many people on Long Island (and the nation as a whole as well) who go into bankruptcy and foreclosure do so because of out of control medical bills. Unless we get this under control the recovery which is really hard to begin with becomes that much harder.

Also real financial reform is needed, especially here living in the shadows of Wall Street. Our economy will always go through booms and always go through busts, but certain things such as the very risky investments make things that much harder and worse when a bust cycle hits.
