Default Are there any markets on Long Island that sell Thai produce & ingredients?

I'm trying to find a place that sells Thai produce, such as, Thai Eggplant, Kaffir Lime Leaves and Thai Basil. I've been to a handful of Asian markets and haven't seen any of these ingredients. I can get curry paste and basic ingredients, but none of the produce.

Does anyone know of a place anywhere on Long Island?

If you cannot find on Long Island, then worst case scenario.... There is a big asian market on Kissena Blvd in Queens, check them out.
I would also suggest asking in local Thai restaurants for possible sources.

Have you tried V&T in Hempstead? I've never looked for the items you need but the store looks just like the Flushing markets to me in terms of what produce they stock. You could also look at Hmart in Williston Park. There used to be an Asian market on West John St in Hicksville with a big produce section but I haven't been there in years and don't know if they're still around.

Fairway doesn't sell any of the items listed. I've also been to a bunch if asian markets in Queens with no success. I've been to Hmart in Great Neck and they don't have it either. Haven't tried V&T.

I will ask my Thai restaurant to see if they have any recommendations.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Is it called Patel Brothers? Or does that only sell Indian food items?

Thai, yeah not sure. Best bet is to ask at a Thai restaurant. They would know b/c they have to get the items somewhere.

And perhaps it's far, but come on, there must be somewhere in NYC that sells it- as a last resort anyway.

Good luck with it, I hope you find what you need.

I googled Patel bros and see that they're on 106, but the place I remember was on West John a block or so across from the road leading into Cantiague Park. It looks like it's gone, though--I asked hubby and he says that when we were in that area last year we looked for it and there was something else in the building.

mambwe, why not grow your own kaffir lime? Citrus can flourish quite nicely as house plants. You can buy a plant for $11.95 from Logees, a company that specializes in tropical plants, I've bought flowering plants from them and was very satisfied with their quality and service.
Logee's Greenhouse-Citrus hystrix "Kaffir Lime"
They also have a basil that they say is used in Asian cooking, not sure whether it's thai basil:
