online at the nys dec website (provided you already have an ID# ... if you have a freshwater lic, it'll be on there)
edit: you don't need one if you are only fishing on party/charter boats... other than that, to drop a line in fresh or salt water you need a license

thanks for the reminder. just bought my lifetime license. now hopefully i'll be covered when the state raises the fees b/c they need more $$ to mismanage.

i wonder if they'll eventually spin off a non-fish marine license for crabs/lobsters/shellfish and be able to get another fee out of people...
