7 minutes from a gazillion acre nature preserve (Connetquot state park)

25 or 30 minutes or so from Robert Moses.

10 minutes from Smith Haven Mall.

15 minutes from crack dealers and El Salvadoran Gangbangers (CI)

5 minutes from lovely Lake Ronkonkoma where my kid can mingle with the aforementioned riff raff on the brand new playground equipment and walk on a broken glass encrusted beach.

We love it here.

we own a 2 bedroom condo in Ronkonkoma
Why cite all three locations, instead of just saying Ronkonkoma? They are different, just like Rocky Point and Sound Beach are different.

For example:

Ronkonkoma: on mlsli.com, single-family homes range from $129K to $599K

Nesconset: on mlsli.com, single-family homes range from $255K to $950K

Smithtown: on mlsli.com, single-family homes range from $235K to $1.6M

Very different!

Lumping different locations together to suit your purposes (either to connect RP with a crime that occurred in SB or to make where you live connected to "tonier" areas) is just as disingenous as what you are accusing crooks of (shaving off commuting time to/from RP).

As someone else already said on here, "The pot calls the kettle black!"

Ill think of him tonight as I stroll the bluffs at sunset, overwhelmed with gratitude..amazed that despite the fact that I am a man of modest means I can still live so richly.

For the record no one was murdered in Rocky Point, there was a bar fight with some out of town club kids and one kid got stabbed...thats it.

This thread is a completely contrived and personal attack.
Im cool with it...I guess I had it coming, but lets please strive for accuracy and stay on topic. You want to argue about commute times thats one thing. Murders... thats another.

We love it here.

Peace,

Crooks

Ronkonkoma -- Condo/Co-OP/Homeowners Assoc: listing from $195K to $287K

Massappequa to North Amityville, eh? So Rocky Point is North Amityville, in this case?

Is Rocky Point comparable to North Amityville?

Right, and how does that go against what I said?

Thanks for the fact check.

City data: median home values
Ronk: $384,628
RP: $321,508.

Why?

Not a good week for the area. Very sketchy details about this so far.
yeah ya think? well, this guy was my neighbor. Cops had dogs and were searching yards, including mine. No info released. No one's really talking. This happened between 9:30-10pm sun night and nothing showed up until today.

Guy seemed like a nice family man.

Honestly, I live in SB and it's not all bad...whitestone Rd is a crappy one lately.

I don't know. Perhaps people are trying to sell their houses for less than they are "worth" in Ronkonkoma these days? Are people in RP trying to sell their houses for more than they are worth? These are today's asking prices on Multiple Listing Service. How old are CD's stats? You know how suddenly the "home values" can go up or down (particularly when looking to refinance and then suddenly the bank decides the house dropped in value drastically).
