Not sure how they come up with those stats. Over 10 months, they have 97 incidents in W. Hempstead and only 19 in Hempstead. Glen Cove has 70 over that time.

Something seems off.

Wow this is great, does seem a little buggy though.

Suffolk is lit up like a Christmas tree....then again, Hempstead and Freeport are curiously missing from Nassau over the last 30 days and I find it hard to believe there has been no crime in either for a whole month! Maybe they haven't been able to get data from the village PDs yet?

Excellent find, though!

Depends on what the crime is. Maybe more of us in Suffolk are not keeping the trash cans hidden from the view from the road.

Wow Sean!

Looking over the last 10 months... I think its pretty telling.

Certainly supports the argument for staying the hell out of the Middle of Suffolk despite that awesome commute.

Lake Ronkonkoma/Ronkonkoma (theyre the same town right?) 198 (121+77)
CI 176
Medford 146.
Coram 126 (not including gordon heights they only had 30)

Shirley looking pretty damn good with 43

Shoreham 2, Sound Beach 8, Brookhaven 11, Ridge 12 ,Mt Sinai 15, Rocky Point 15,Blue Point 28 are all apparenly Mayberry despite the recent press.

It's probably just propaganda though...maybe the editor lives in Brookhaven or Rocky Point?

Who knows?

Wow in the past 10 months, 312 in Brentwood and 309 in Bayshore. I didn't think Bayshore was that bad.

Well, the important thing is stats can be twisted to fit our preconceived notions.

I don't know if it just happened to turn out like this, but it seems in the past 10 months, anything over 100 seemed to go in a line from Lake Ronkonkoma to Lake Grove to Centerach to Selden to Coram.

I didn't expect to see Hauppauge, Smithtown and Commack in the 100's either.
