Doesn't it just stink how the buyer who was being nice has no rights other then to go to court, which will take time. The evil sellers (now renters) seem to be able to do what ever they want and have all the rights. Once the escrow money is gone, I'd be so afraid the "renters" were going to ruin the house!

i remember at my closing, the lawyer of the house that I was buying didnt want to leave any money in escrow and my lawyer almost beat the crap out of the other lawyer (my lawyer is sylvestor stallones cousin.......fighint must run in the family!)

I look for so much more when choosing a lawyer.
ok. you must hire a landlord tenant attorney. He must serve them with a 10 day notice to move out. hopefully you are in suffolk county where things go quicker. nassau is good too but NYC is tough. you can sue for possession and for use and occupancy (rent) also. while you are at it you can sue your lawyer for having you close with such a small escrow being held.
