Hi all, just wondering how many many people lost their power yesterday? The weather didn't seem to be that bad, so I was surprised it happened. I'm new to the area (Syosset), and lost power for 10-15 min at around 6. I lost power again this morning for 2 hours starting at 1AM (I was up feeding baby).

Does anyone know what happened? Called LIPA and went on their website, but couldn't find anything. Does this happen alot?

Just curious.

It happens...I think a lot less now since LIPA took over from LILCO (LuckyItLightsCompany).

I know...I was there yesterday. In fact, there was power in Rocky Point all weekend. I was grateful.
