But...FIOS didn't exist in the 90's. Verizon did. As to any disconnct in the stories, that would be because you have ignored the multiple times you've been asked to spell it out succinctly since you've had conflicting accounts.
I've been very happy FIOS subscriber for 6 months now. I got the Triple Play w/ DVR for $92 a month out-the-door (all taxes and fees included). Service is a lot better than Cablevision. Internet is super fast, channels change quick, better menu options and Ondemand, not one service outage.
You'll find the good and bad in every company. Ignore the slanderers.

verizon existed. in case you didnt know, verizon and fios are the same thing, just like cablevision and optimum.
did you ask your husband about verizon's contractors? go ahead and ask him who put the fiber optics up for verizon. I will give you a little hint: it starts with a "c" and ends with an "s".
