Verizon Fios Trickery

My rates went up so I asked fios if I could cancel the premium movie package I have . I would get netflix instead. The guy told it me would be more because he had to rebundle me. The offer I got 2 years ago expired. I said "how can that be" I am getting rid of the movie package. He said rates for boxes and other stuff was going up. The best they could do for me was $10.00 off my bill for 1 year big deal.All cable companies are rip offs IMO but the HD quality and speed of the internet of Fios is far better than OOL. So I will stay with them.I even threatend to back to OOL, the guy said "what ever you need to do maam. I guess threatening to switch does not faze these cable companies anymore.

Verizon prices aren't great but the quality is. I just can't go back to cable even though I could save a buncha money for a year. Cable just flat out blows.

CV is def. still afraid of Fios. I finally called to cancel CV for Fios last week and CV slashed 60 bucks off my bill. I will be staying with CV for now, but If they dont give me the same deal next year, I wont hesitate to bolt for Fios.

Also CV operates the same way with the packages, for instance, it dosent pay to every cancel say the phone portion of the triple play because you will lose your discount and save almost nothing. These companies are very clever with that stuff.

I 100% agree that Fios is better quality, I just wish they would give more of a break than $10.00 off for a year. I'd never go back to CV either.
