I'm looking to buy organic meat from a farm, but I know those are few and far between here in Nassau, lol. Where is the closest farm that sells organic meat/chicken? Just wondering if there's any closer than, say, 50 miles east. I buy my meat at whole foods, but it's a bit expensive. Just looking for somewhere that it might be cheaper.
Makinajian farms in elwood ( huntington) sells organic poultry, they may have other meat as well in addition to produce.
It has been a while, but the organic poultry I used to buy there was alive
Before anyone thinks I butcher my own chickens, I didn't. I raised them for their eggs.
The poultry and eggs are great. The farm also has alot of nice products, though its somewhat expensive. They have animals on site which is nice for kids.
