First I'm going to apologize, I'm from SoCal and would never consider calling California "Cali". I also hope that everyone doesn't think that everyone from California talks "types" in this manner. I'm sure that you don't talk they way you have typed as you seem to be just having fun, but if you want solid information you need to be taken seriously.

I moved to the LI two years ago and it's expensive, I mean making a 100K is a good start to live here, but then again my style of living may be very different then yours. If you want to be taken seriously then talk "type" like you are a capable person. Maybe the fact that I have 20 years on you makes me see things differently, but if any of my kids (adults) seriously wanted information they would never request it in the way you have.

LI can be very expensive, more so in some areas then in California. My simple 2/1 apt. that is maybe 700 sq.ft runs about $1800+ per month. Yes you can find places that are cheaper, but I guess that depends on what you want for your child.

I wish you the best no matter where you decide to move.
