I'm just trying to get some information and to learn what the law is, and if I make a decision to have the authorities enforce the law, what would be the consequences (especially for the two tenants downstairs who most likely have no idea their apartments are illegal).
Trust me, if you were dealing with my landlord, you would have called to complain long time ago. Just two days ago ago he told me "I'll make your life hard". A person like him, should not get away with not paying permit fees (for structural changes and renal), collecting tax-free rent, and not paying his fair share. Some people just deserve to be held responsible.
Again, I want to make sure I don't screw the other guys living downstairs. SO, any HELPFUL and INFORMATIVE comments would be appreciated.
If the renters didn't bring drugs and police action to the neighborhood ... I wouldn't mind so much. I liked it when my street was quiet and everyone got along. That has changed since 3 families moved into a 1 family house. their children are vulgar and run rampant, the parent(s) drive too fast, their dogs run loose. They have turned this quiet street into total chaos... They got to go!

I agree with this here post - Shirley was such a clean, serene place until these people ruined it with their children and fast driving
Well maybe the person they want to report is a complete a--hole. Thinks he's better then everyone doesn't think he has to obey the law. And does what he wants. He mean the kids and starts with them thinks he's a tough guy. I personally think he deserves what he gets. None of the neighbors like him. He disrespectful to everyone.
I don't mind reporting someone especially if there's children involved and the apartment is a disgusting pig sty and not suitable to live in.
