Default Boat Rentals

Anywhere know where I can rent a 20' fishing boat for the day? I've only had luck finding 16' wooden skiffs. Thank you.

Fishing in Montauk is great right now and you can rent one at Uihlein's Marina. Not sure of the cost. It you don't know the point a bit, I'd fish Gardiner's Bay for starters.

Personally, I don't know any places more west that rent anything other than the 10HP skiffs.

One thought - there are a lot of light tackle fishing guides on the island. DM me and I'll suggest a few. They'll take you fishing, clean your catch and wash the boat at the end of the day. Probably cost you double what it will cost you to rent a 20 footer.

good luck!

Thank you - I should have made mention that I am looking around the Seaford/Freeport/Point Lookout area. There are plenty of 6hp skiffs, but nothing bigger and more powerful.

Theres a place in Port Jefferson called Caraftis Fishing. 232 Barnum ave. 473-2288. They have 16/17 footers but they will have 20 footers next week. Give them a call for more details. Perhaps you can reserve it. Good Luck.
