Hi,

I will be studying in USC for my master. I am protestant. Currently I am attending baptist church in Thailand.

Could you please recommend me a church to go on Sundays? Please don't recommend me Pentacost churches (There is nothing wrong with Pentacost churches. It's just my personal taste that I don't like Pentacost churches.) It doesn't have to be baptist church.

Thank you.

I don't know any right next to USC. Will you have a car? If so we really like this one in Torrance: Home (King's Harbor Church) (http://www.kingsharbor.org/pages/page.asp?page_id=67672 - broken link). You can listen for yourself online and see what you think.

It doesn't have to be near USC. I will probably buy a car in LA.

Then you will have many options to choose form in LA, possibly too many. But variety is good. It just makes it harder to narrow down. So asking for recommendations is a good thing. BTW, the one I recommended, Kings Harbor, is not Pentacostal. However they do have a pretty lively modern worship music which we like. And they have a good mixture of ages (families, singles, youth, etc...). Everyone has their preferences though. So you will probably want to visit a number of them to decide which you like best.
