I have a job interview downtown LA next week.

What would be the best route, the interview is in the 700 block of Wilshire Blvd. at 9:50 AM on a Friday, the appointment time can not be changed.

Route #1 - 110 Fwy, exit 3rd/4th St to Wilshire Blvd.

Route #2 - 710 Fwy north to the 5 to the 10, merge onto 110 Fwy, exit 3rd/4th St to Wilshire Blvd.

Route #3 - 710 Fwy north to the 5 to the 101, exit Grand Ave, right on Wilshire Blvd.

Parking is not a problem, I will park at Macy's Plaza on Flower.

I used to work downtown 15 years ago, I remember the traffic was horrible, inch & crawl after the 105 Fwy, until you pass the 101 on the Harbor Fwy.

TIA

route 1, it's the most direct and 110 is slow but it does move, the same can't be said for the 5.

I would go with Route #1. Like BRinSM stated..it's the most direct route. The 5 is no walk in the park either. 9.50am on a Friday is not too bad. Just give yourself plenty of time. Good luck.

The 710 is like 80% trucks. Forget that one for sure.

Another vote for the 110 north.

For what its worth: I used to commute to 7th and Flower via the Blue Line. There's a station right next to Carson (Del Amo), with plenty of parking (351 spaces). Macy's Plaza is across the street from the 7th/Metro Center Station.

Thanks all for the advice.

I have decided to book a room at one of the downtown hotels within walking distance. The last interview I had there were accidents on 2 freeways and I was actually 4 minutes late for the interview.
