Thanks for all you input. I live comfortably but the city life does lack where I am at without so much for people my age to do.

The bolded part is not correct. There are older 1 bedroom apartments within walking distance(4 blocks or less) of the beach in Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Belmont Shores, Long Beach, and San Pedro that rent for $1100-1300 a month.

Good to read that. Do you think it is also possible to find a place at that price near the beach in Santa Monica as well?
