Yeah, I don't think I will be either. But its weird because it seems to be one of those places that you either LOVE or HATE! I hear people saying OMG why would you EVER want to move there? And then talk to others that say I will fall in love with it.

How is the drive from MDR to Brentwood(for work)?

The drive there is fine. I mean, for a commute in LA, it's fine. My dad goes from the LAX area all the way into the San Fernando Valley everyday, so you should be fine.

Yea, the people that don't like MDR probably don't like the cooler temperatures. Since MDR has a lot of water around it and they have the Marina Harbor, it stays cooler there than most other places. Also, though, if you are expecting lots of sunlight, don't move that close to the coast. Yes, we do get a lot of sunlight, but all the way from Malibu through Santa Monica through MDR through Manhattan Beach down into Palos Verdes Peninsula, it does get overcast almost every morning, but it will clear up later in the day.

But, still, I would rather live in MDR since it's not as crowded as other parts of LA (except for Lincoln Blvd.), there are more shopping centers and plazas (not like Brentwood spread out along the streets), and I prefer the cooler weather of MDR.

Anywhere to take dogs in Brentwood? Are there any dog parks in the area?

I'm not really sure, but all sidewalks in Brentwood are safe every hour of the day.

Brentwood is an excellent choice!

You are correct there are many celebrities who live in Brentwood one famous one was OJ, and of course Nicole (just thought I would mention it), as well as just wealthy people (some old money)
The area is bursting with restaurants, and businesses. You will find almost anything you want in Brentwood and on San Vicente Blvd. The area is safe for the most park.

Good luck!

I have never heard of gangs in Brentwood at night or any other time.

Perhaps there may be an incident some times, but that is not the norm.

Brentwood is as safe as most others. Also try the Beverly Wood area which is adjacent to Beverly Hills

I just spoke with a Realtor last night, from So. Cal. He said he loved it and had no complains about Brentwood. In fact, when I mentioned it, he kinda perked up and was like "Oh yeah, thats a nice area". So, I have no idea what that one old man was thinking... Noone I have spoken with has agreed with him. So I'll forget we ever spoke to him.
