Hi, I recently got a job in LA, its a field job so i will driving to sites located across Southern California, LA County, the Inland Empire and Orange County.

My concern is to find a place to live assuming,

1) Shouldn't be expensive
2) Shouldn't be very far from these places.

I would really appreciate your comments or suggestions.

Central to LA, OC and the IE? That's a truly huge area. You're going to be spending a lot of time in your car.

A somewhat cheap, somewhat nice geographically central area to So Cal would probably be San Dimas, Fullerton, or Corona.

But if you're going to be spending most of your time in LA County, with only occasional trips to OC and IE: maybe El Monte or Lakewood.

But, to be honest, no one can really give you a useful answer without better information.

Well Buena Park calls itself the center of the southland. I agree that's a HUGE area to cover so no matter where you land, you'll be far some some part of it. Keep in mind its generally easier to head east into the IE in morning than it is to head west into LA at the same time.

Expensive is relative. Nowhere here is really cheap by national standards.
