Comparing pointlessness of this post vs. various other recent posts . . . Is this the most inane, and why?

I think there is a thread like this comparing city skylines in the city vs. city section. Well in my opinion, no matter how much I love LA, I have to say for a city of our size LA's skyline is pretty dismal compared to Chicago or NY. That's just cuz LA is so spread out and we don't need that big of a skyline.

I have to give it to LA on this one. Compared to Charlotte, LA's look a little more massive and has surrounding mountains and ocean that really makes downtown beautiful on a clear day.

Charlotte NC,

25 tall buildings 15 to 60 stories. Clustered in the same area

Los Angeles CA,

34 tall buildings 17 to 73 stories. Spread out over the area. LA has several down town areas, Charlotte has one as far as I know. LA also is at one point 9 feet below sea level and as high as 5,000 feet above sea level. It is the only major city that is split in two by a mountain range.

I like LA's skyline better, but then it includes those mountains.
