Planning on making the move to LA from Chicago. Wanted to know what people who live there know about these two apts and the surrounding neighborhood, MidWilshire Apts in Koreatown and the apts at 7601 N Hollywood Way in Burbank. Is 7601 too far north and in the ghetto? I might be able to get a transfer to the store I work for at the Burbank Town Center so living in Burbank would be ideal. Thanks!

Take the job in Burbank and find an apartment in Tarzana or Sherman Oaks.

Need a more exact address to comment on the K-Town apartments.

That address in NOT the nice part of Burbank. Look for something closer to the Burbank Town Center.

Be Honest - Am I insane to commute from PV to BH?

Are you the same poster that started this thread? Looks like you've got nearly identical usernames.

Specifically 510, 518 E Cypress in Glendale or 1151 Justin Ave. Anything about Glen West Mgmt? There's also a branch of my store at the Glendale Galleria.

Take the job in Burbank and survey your options within reasonable commuting distance.

If you want opinions on neighborhoods please state addresses, or for privacy you can locate nearby major streets and use those to identify neighborhoods. I've been almost everywhere in SFV at one time or another although my expertise is West Valley.

In case you didn't see I added a new post with specific addresses. The system wouldn't let me edit my initial post because over 1.5 hours passed.

Understood. There are nice parts of both Burbank and Glendale. I don't know them well enough to do much better than you could using Google satellite view and street view. Encino and Sherman Oaks are mostly nice (as an earlier post suggested) as are most areas as they get nearer to the Hollywood Hills. Studio City might be good too, and closer to Burbank.

You said your store has a location in Glendale Galleria. Could they also have a store at the Northridge Mall? There's zillions of reasonable areas nearby Northridge. I live in Northridge myself, not the expensive part but my neighborhood is affordable and safe.

The San Fernando Valley is huge. I've lived here my whole life but most of my focus has been spent in the western half. Glendale and Burbank are at the southeastern corner. I go there on rare occasions but I'm not familiar with specific addresses.
