Ill try to describe as much as I can remember but I can't remember if what im saying is 100 percent.
Dropping two kids I babysitt off at their day care,
i made a right on beverly and western in LA and i saw a flash out of the corner of my eye... The thing is, drove back and went to the sign and it didnt say anything about no right turns. it said something about no left turns for some hours of the day. And im not sure if I remember but might have saw someone run a left at the same time I did.

ASSUMING that there was no one running the tricky left turn while i ran the right turn, will i get a ticket? Like are these cameras bi directional for right turn and left turners? Im not sure if it was for yellow or red but i dont think that would matter much. The sad thing is, i was blocked by a huge metro bus and never saw the camera as I am not from LA, so i looped around it and made the fatal right turn.

Ive had a wretched day since. Firstly, it's gonna be impossible for me to pay the ticket fine which is about 400 im guessing and since I already got a ticket 8 months ago and did traffic school for that, my insurance is going up. This will be my first point on my license. I am 19 and a male. My parents only pay for liability as my car is a piece of junk anyways. Anyone know firstly if I would get a ticket and secondly how much my insurance would go up? (dang way to ruin my parents 20th anniversary this week....and there goes all my babysitting money for the summer down the drain....) sigh*

Did you roll through the red and made a right hand turn?
People get flashed all the time for not coming to a complete stop. Not sure of this particular intersection though. If you came to a complete stop, I don't see you getting a ticket. If you did roll through it, expect a ticket.

That intersection is very hot! I've seen people get "lit up" (flashed) dozens of times there. I don't know what it is about that intersection.

Perhaps you're needlessly worrying. It may have been a flash for another car. Most times all everyone sees is the flash if they're in motion and you don't know whom it was for. I say at least wait and see if you get a ticket before worrying about insurance and payment issues. But, if you do get a ticket, call and dispute it if you're sure you didn't turn right on red where its posted not to do so.

Thanks guys,
firstly, i know it flashed for sure. secondly i know i turned when it was mostly red i think but maybe yellow too. I did not stop, i just rolled right on through cus i thought it was gonna either stay yellow or the bus was blocking me ( i do not remember in detail)... i know i should stop worrying but i need to know if i should request extra work this week to start getting a head start in paying off the ticket and insurance. even though im under my parents insurance and a "dependent student", im virtually a independent student becacuse my parents dont make much. so if anyone could give me an estimate on the raise on the insurance just in case... when your in my situation, i just prepare for the worst. thanks.

Don't sweat it. I've had the stupid cameras go off several times on "close calls". Unless it's a clear cut violation, I bet they don't even bother to follow up.

If you do get a notice in the mail, be sure and ask for a court trial. The city has 1000s of tickets to process. If they are not ready by your hearing date, you get off. Even if they are ready, and have photo "evidence", tell your story to the judge. He might have mercy! Good luck (I hate those stupid cameras...)

My understanding (which very well may be wrong) is they have to photograph you behind the stop line when the light is red. If you made it past that line on the yellow, you may be OK.
