I can see both Bentonville & Los Angeles as great places to live. LA is picked on more than necessary here on city data.

That being said, I think many Californians have the wrong perception of much of the middle part of the US & South. The people are really not much different than Californians in many ways. Easterners seem to stand out much more as they do even in SoCal.

I thought Bentonville would be boring when I got a job offer, but I have really enjoyed NW Arkansas. But I still love LA.

I miss Jack in the Box tacos most.

I'll dedicate a couple of them to you this evening, before I destroy them.

They're aren't any in AR but there are 60 Jacks in MO and seven in OK so you can always jump the border and get your fill.

My parents came from the north east corner of Arkansas. Lepanto, AR in fact, a few miles east of Dogpatch. I still have a lot of family there, the whole damn town is probably related to me.

Some pretty country there, very humid but it is often 70% here as well but without the heat.

Dogpatch is now a ghost town. It's pretty cool to sneak into an abandoned amusement park. I saw Shaggy and the Mystery Machine in Dogpatch USA one night.

Branson, MO was too much competition for Dogpatch.

I notice a lot of the same themes appear in the what folks in Austin think of LA.

Here is what Austin, Texas think of LA and Cali

Austin vs. Fayetteville, Arkansas?

I think the difference between Bentonville and LA is probably LARGER than the difference between Austin and LA.
