Another reason that many don't like the idea of people living on City Steets in RV's.

Illegal sewage prompts removal of RV's from Venice streets - The Daily Breeze

Can you belive this? Then again it took the city 9 or 10 days before they even responded to clean it up.

there is very much a laissez faire attitude in venice, sometimes to the benefit of the residents, but other times to the detriment of the residents. i used to live to down the street from where the dumping occured, strange stuff happens there all the time. i remember a couple of years ago, someone let their pet alligator (not full size thank goodness) loose in the neighborhood, it made the morning news the next day. not that what this lady with the RV did is ok, but these kinds of occurences are not out of the normal in venice and people who move their should know what they are getting themselves into. at least the gangs don't run the area anymore and it is considerably safer than in it was just 10 years ago.
