Default Drive from Loma Linda to Santa Ana (John Wayne) airport during rush hour?

Hey guys,
I'm not from the California area at all, and this is a weird question, however here is my story:

I have an interview in Loma Linda on a Friday in November. My interview is supposed to be completed by 3-4pm. How long will it take for me to get to the John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana if I leave around that time? Would I be able to make an 8 PM flight departure? It is a must I make this 8pm flight because I have an interview the next day in a different city that I absolutely cannot miss.

Any input from you guys is greatly appreciated. I don't know how that drive is from loma linda to santa ana is on a FRIDAY during rush hour. Also it will be just me driving so I can't drive in the carpool lanes.

Unless there's a huge accident that puts everything at a standstill, expect up to a 2 hour trip.

Thanks for the reply. In the event of a huge accident, there are alternate back up routes right? If its 2 hours thats not bad, I can definitely make my flight.

Depends on where the accident is. If the 91 freeway is bound up West of the 241 interchange, you can take 241 to 261 to get to the airport. Be advised those are both toll roads.

You might make it but that's really pushing the limits. Considering check in time and all.

Any chance of flying into Ontario (ONT) instead of John Wayne (SNA)? That would cut that drive time dramatically.
