If you want to visit UCLA for a few hours, where would you recommend parking? How much does it usually cost? I've seen their website for it but it might help to ask here.

Also, are the nearby parking meters active on Sundays?

Drive right up Westwood Blvd. onto the campus. Westwood Blvd. ends with the Student Union on the right and a public parking structure on left. You can pay parking in cash or by credit card. I'm not sure but they probably charge parking every day of the week.

when I play racquetball or hoops with friends at UCLA I just pay the all day rate (which i think is $10). They've got the new pay station machines for hourly parking at various structures throughout the campus, but I think my friend said if you stay more than 3 hours it's the same as an all-day pass. And as for meter parking in the Village, just be careful since they need to be fed until 8pm every single day--and enforcement is strict with parkingcops circling like vultures, even at nite.

It's sadly $10 a day now (when I first started there it was $6). The best lot to park is Lot 4 off Sunset Blvd and Westwood Plaza since they have self pay machines that take credit cards. Actually, if you're only there for 2 hours or less it might be less, but any more than 2 hours is the maximum rate.
