Although I've only been to LA a few times in the past (quite a few years back, going again this summer), I've always loved the city and have always wanted to move there sometime later in life. I'm going to be applying to colleges soon and I am going to try to go to one in LA. If I'm not able to go there because of expenses (for out of state or private), then I want to try to establish myself there after college. Is there any particularly good way to go about this? I know it's early, but I want to get to know a little bit about the situation before I even attempt it. Would it be best to accumulate money, find an apartment, be it with roommates (perhaps through craigslist) or alone and then find a job? Or would it be wisest to look for jobs before doing anything?

Yeah, it is early to be trying to figure all this out. And you haven't been to LA lately.

You say that you will consider LA after college and you haven't even applied for college yet. Go to college. Visit LA periodically during colllege. Begin applying for jobs in LA during your final term.
