Thumbs up Looking for X-Safeway employees from the 60's-70's

I am working on a book re: Safeway Stores in LA from the 50's to the 70's and esp. around the 60's-70's
Did you or do you know of anyone who worked for Safeway during this time; also esp., those that worked in the LA Division and Central LA to Ventura, Valley, and San Fernando.
Picture references would also be really appreciated as well as old Safeway Magazines etc.
You can also PM me if you like.

I worked in over 25 stores and as a manager, relief DM etc.

Also, anyone remember my Carl Chinicci(sp) who was a DM in LA..
I still remember his timely comments to me at 10 pm as we were closing and he would sneak up on me..

HW

I worked in Glendale at Verdugo and Wilson. I was a night manager. My manager was Niel Romine . I was a night manager even before I was a journeyman clerk 1972. I remember the meat cutters strike. 1973-1974 I worked at Los Feliz and Central in Glendale. From there I went to Third and Bonney Brae in Los Angeles.I had been called in at times to assist the auditors at outside (not assigned store) stores. Store is not a Vons. Then to El Monte.. Store closed. Then to the Eagle Rock store. Then to Pasadena at Sierra Madre and Colorado Pasadena. 1984-1985 I retired from Safeway stores. My DM most of the time was Larry Peterson. He was a great DM.

In my 31 years at Safeway, the best DM's were Bill Combs and Tony Hartt.
Worse was by far Phil Tucker.
