Not always is it a good thing. It looks to be on the surface, but the money a complex brings in soon can offset the cost. I remember (barely) when the Dodgers came to Los Angeles. Public money was used to help build Dodger stadium. Of course there was a lot of controvery and some arguments were legit: one, the tax payeres didn't know what they were really voting on when the bill was passed, but overall look what the Dodgers have done for Los Angeles (ok, let's not talk about right now)

yes but that minority is probably larger than the markets of Indy, SD, Detroit, etc

and why is L.A. still a "Raiders Town"? I thought L.A. hated Bay Area Sports teams
