um those were jokes. and metaphors. but just a quick style recap. black people can have nice houses. so can mexicans, so can whites. they can live in nice areas as long as they have the money for those nice houses and nice areas. crime is not as prevalent there. you can be black and poor, you can be white and poor and you cane be brown and poor. and chances are if you are in a economically disadvantaged area, a poor area, park poor, job poor, you will have to do things that those people in nicer areas might not have to. like work at BK for 4.25. or snatch and grab. this is economics. its called the wrong side of the tracks for a reason. its is poorer. its does have less oportunity, less jobs and there is more crime. that does not mean that all people there are in this situation. but it can be rough. and you might have something there. this can lead to mental instability... it is definetely a possibilty. its complex and economics is one pole in this matrix that is definite.

and my point is that crime is not based on economics. rich people commit the same crimes as poor people. and for lack of a better subject, look at wynona ryder. Or Shannon dohrty for physical abuse, or lohan for indecent exposure. It's just the ones that get caught and reported that make the crime statistics and the stereo types. Economics are just a scape goat.
I have to ask though not equate economically rich areas as nicer areas. As poor areas are often nicer. it's not the money that matters it's the character of the peoples.
It's called the wrong side of the tracks because people were told that if you are poor you were on the wrong side of the tracks. or for that matter, black or whatever. it's a stereotype with no basis in reality.

Have you ever seen a both rich and high crime area? When a neighborhood experiences urban decay, everyone with a brain and lots of $$$ escapes the next minute.
I'm not implying there can't be poor and nice areas. These areas are called middle-class and working-class. But that's probably somewhere between poor and rich, isn't it?

well look at this. from the latimes.com (i know liberal bla bla, but it's worth a look). Map Builder::From the LA Times Homicide Report Blog it's a map of homicides in Los Angeles. Notice the odd gap over east L.A., which is supposedly a high crime Mexican area. I think it's safe to say that old presumptions are not facts.

Hmmmm... you do realize that "American Renaissance" is a white-supremacist propaganda magazine, right? Yes, I imagine you do.
For the curious, here are a few descriptions of it, taken from the website itself & Wikipedia (which I don't typically quote, but they laid it out well):
"American Renaissance (AR or AmRen) is a monthly white separatist magazine published by the New Century Foundation.
American Renaissance and the New Century Foundation have had links with far right, neo-fascist and racist organizations and individuals such as: the Council of Conservative Citizens, the Pioneer Fund, the British National Party, Don Black and David Duke.[2][3] The organization has held bi-annual conferences that have attracted neo-Nazis, white nationalists, white separatists, Ku Klux Klan members, Holocaust deniers and eugenicists (as well as numerous protestors)."
"A conservative monthly publication. Promotes a variety of white racial positions."
