I got fired from wal-mart about 3 weeks ago after working there for a year. I have heard alot of talk about Wal-Mart denying benefits. Well they think they fired me for a good reason so I am sure they wouldn't want me collecting unemployment. I found out today my claim was approved and I'll be getting something.. They weren't my only job for 2010 tho. I also had another job for 3 months. My question I have for you all is... now that my claim has started do I have to worry about Wal-Mart denying this or am I in the clear to collect my benefits now? I already filled out my sheet for a check.

nope. you are in. same thing happened to me years ago in GA. boss fired me without cause because she thought i was going to leave her. she was a nutjob. fired me, lied to the unemployment folk, and i got my unemployment anyway. if there was any question at all, they would have done a phone call between you and your former employer, something like a phone trial to determine the legitimacy of their allegations. don't worry, if they say you are approved, you are approved. period. sleep well tonight.
