I know of one Julliard-trained pianist (my old roomie's sister) who's kind of just struggling along like many artists/actors out here in LA. She gives private lessons to very advanced hs & college students in preparation for contests & coaches them on strategies on getting into conservatories. Plus she composes scores for small indie films & does audio post-production on the side. But her main job that pays the rent is selling Clinique at Nordstroms :/

Oh no.... harder than anything possibly. Like the above poster said, you can always be a private teacher or a school teacher

Didn't the Japanese just invent a piano that can play itself flawlessly and thus render pianists obsolete?
