As far as I know areas near Lake Tahoe you can find finest ski destinations in California. Heavenly/Kirkwood, North Star, Squaw Valley.

I think Harrier means the mountains above (north of) Porter Ranch. The Santa Susana mountains usually have some snow above the 3,000-3,500 foot level once or twice during the winter.

But there are no ski resorts there.
