Default 1 hour outside LA... Beaumont? Applevalley? Menifee?

My job has me possibly relocating to some businesses in Beaumont, Applevalley, or Menifee?

I know nothing about these areas except that mapquest says they are right outside of LA...

Are they nice places to live? Can you suggest a city to live in that would be a close commute to LA to party and see sporting events and get to work in a reasonable drive???

These places are 1.5 to 2 hours away. Real estate prices here are tanking like no other so it should be quiet inexpensive for you. As for them being "nice" places. They're decisively lower middle class and a huge distance from anything remotely classy. If Fontana is Fontucky then Beaumont would Beaumabama.

Beaumont, Menifee, and Apple Valley are 3 areas that affordable golf and equestrian areas. Menifee and Beaumont is about 30 from Downtown Riverside and 40 From San Bernadino. Apple Valley is furthest out about 45 miles from San Bernadino and 55 miles to Riverside.

Beaumont is close 30 miles from Palm Springs, and Mountain Resorts in Idylwild, Lake Arrowhead, Big Bear Lake and is the home to PGA Oak Valley Golf Club which 3 courses , Oak Valley Golf Club and Sun Lakes Country Club Plenty of homes inside and outside Golf Course communities and master planned developments. If you are looking form homes on large lots look at older homes in town. These lots are a 1/4 acre an larger. Commercial development is happening although no mall in town most people shop at Target Wal-Mart and Kohls There an outlet mall in Cabazon 15 miles east and Moreno Valley Mall at Town Gate in 20 west. Beaumont Unified is good district.

Menifee a newer area homes are built in and around Menifee Lakes Country Club. Also in the are lake front development , including The Lakes, and in Heritage Lake in nearby Romoland due east. Plus you can buy homes outside the big developments on acreages in Menifee, Quail Valley, Romoland, Homeland and East Hemet. Good schools there. Commercial development is coming along. Hemet Valley Mall is 10 miles away not a good selection Promenade at Temecula is major Mall nearby 10 miles southwest and Moreno Valley Mall is 20 miles away north. Wal-Mart and Target in the area.

Apple Valley is farther out and in the High Desert, This is one of the most affordable areas in Southern California. Apple Valley is a communities where homes are typically built on 1/2 acre lots horses area welcome (they are welcome in Menifee's outlying areas and in Beaumont outlying areas as well.) Plenty of developments with commercial and retail K Mart, Wal-Mart and Target. The Mall of of the Victor Valley in Victorville is 10 miles away.

Hope this helps.
