Worth relocating to? (employment, housing, medical)

Hey There,

I am wanting to relocate out of Seattle and have been checking out a bunch of cities. I would looove to get some opinions to LA.

Is it truly "La-La Land?" Is it as expensive as many say? Is is as hot,weather wise, as many are reporting these days?

What's the employment situation like? I work in the medical field. How about housing, transit, all that other good and mundane stuff?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
