Yes, Chatsworth is nice where the single family homes are located. Isn't almost always that way? Apartment builders provide housing for the masses but they sure to &$#@ up the neighborhood.

I saw a bunch of nice looking new apartment buildings by Pierce college in Woodland Hills on Desoto while I was on way to Todai restaurant for lunch yesterday. Those are lovely, as apartment buildings go. I imagine it would cost a small fortune to live in one of those.

You have to check this place out: Crazy Tokyo on the NE corner of Ventura and Topanga, right next door east of Vons.. They have a half price menu - this is really good.
When we're in town, my wife and I go in there, (and we're big eaters) and fill up, stuffed, for around $25-$30, no kidding. We don't order drinks (we do a little "work" at our folks' homes and in the parking lot....) so our whole order is just sashimi and rolls. After "I'm so full...", we walk down the mall and get (el cheapo) Thrifty Ice Cream cones.

Thanks. I will check it out at the next opportunity. When is the half price menu good for? I imagine it's good only at certain hours.

If you have close to Ventura, north or south before Oxnard, you can just about walk to everything. Great singles area north of Ventura for condos and townhomes. Hottest part of the Valley always. Who cares about coldest? Happy I left to move to Westlake Village 16 years ago.

So you're saying that Woodland Hills is not so nice anymore? What about safety there?

Are there gangs hanging around the malls or Ventura Blvd. NO! Other than that, it is as safe as any other suburb. Bad things can happen anywhere, anytime in the smallest of towns to large Universities. Read the statistics on homefair.com
